I am currently an Assistant Professor at the International Institute of Information Technology Bhubaneswar (IIIT Bhubaneswar). Previously, I served as a SERB National Post Doctoral Fellow at the Machine Intelligence Unit, Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata, under the guidance of Prof. Malay Bhattacharya. Before that, I was a Chanakya Post Doctoral Fellow at the AI4ICPS Hub Foundation, IIT Kharagpur.

I completed my PhD in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at IIT Kharagpur, where I conducted research under the supervision of Prof. Niloy Ganguly and Prof. Sourangshu Bhattacharya as a member of the Complex Networks Research Group (CNERG).

My research primarily focuses on learning from temporal data. In particular, I investigate challenges in temporal sequence learning using the marked temporal point process framework. I also explore learning challenges related to energy-efficient inference of large language models. During my doctoral research, I worked on learning problems in multi-agent team competitions using reinforcement learning techniques. I also investigated machine learning models designed to operate under different levels of automation, particularly in scenarios involving human–machine interaction.

I received my master’s degree from the Department of Computer Science and Automation at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, and my bachelor’s degree from the Department of Information Technology at the Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology (IIEST), Shibpur.
